Meet Belles & Crystals Designer Ambre Dunavant-DeVirgilio:

The idea of Belles & Crystals came about organically...after years of working in the NYC Garment District, as a designer, Ambre Dunavant-DeVirgilio was searching for a change...yearning to create something that MEANT something...something treasured....to connect with human side of wanting to feel beautiful.

After creating one-of-a-kind pieces for her own wedding as well as close friends and family, Ambre discovered a true love for weddings and brides....the ultimate day to feel special and beautiful. " It's YOUR day...it's all about you and your fiance --- living that perfect moment that nearly every girl dreams of...that's why I started Belles & Crystals...that is why I love what I do" says Ambre.

" The 'Belles' in Belles & Crystals is an homage to my 'Southern Belleness'....I'm originally from Southern Louisiana! The 'Crystals' is obviously in reference to my being attracted to anything that sparkles!  My design philosophy is pretty simple - I use vintage  or vintage style pieces to create timeless yet modern hair ornaments and accessories. I really turn to the 1920's and 1940's the most...you know those by-gone eras of to-die-for-fashion when a gal got dressed to the Nine's...red lips, bling, birdcage veils...if you're going to do it you'd better do it on your wedding day! Texture and balance are also very important parts of my overall aesthetic as well."
